The Open Heart Zen Sangha: News
September 2011 Retreat - July 26, 2011
Retreats are a time to let go of all of life's complexities and dramas and JUST BE. Cultivating a steadiness of mind opens the heart so we can soften and rest in our pure experience just as it is.
Living our everyday lives with mindfulness and ease takes practice, so it is a gift to spend a day together. The interconnectedness of all human beings is something we take for granted because our default mode in Western culture is to be on autopilot. We live so caught up in the past and what we strive for in the future, that we are oblivious to the beauty of life as it is happening right now, in the PRESENT.
Retreat is a day to experience deeply the miracle of our lives and the gift of our wonderful and growing supportive community.
